All Combined Locks registered voters vote at the Combined Locks Civic Center, 405 Wallace St, Combined Locks WI 54113.
Polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm on all election days.
Schedule of 2024 Elections:
Tuesday, February 20 – Spring Primary (if necessary)
Tuesday, April 2 – Spring Election & Presidential Preference Election
Tuesday, August 13 – Partisan Primary
Tuesday, November 5 – General (& Presidential) Election
Spring Primary – Nonpartisan primary held on the 3rd Tuesday in February to nominate nonpartisan candidates to be voted for at the spring election.
Spring Election – Election held on the first Tuesday in April to elect judicial, educational and municipal officers, nonpartisan county officers and sewerage commissioners and to express preferences for the person to be the presidential candidate for each party in a year in which electors for president and vice president are to be elected.
Partisan Primary – Primary held the 2nd Tuesday in August to nominate candidates to be voted for at the general election (if necessary).
General Election – Election held in even-numbered years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November to elect United States senators, representatives in congress, presidential electors, state senators, representatives to the assembly, district attorneys, state officers other than the state superintendent and judicial officers, and county officers other than supervisors and county executives.

Overview: In 2017, Wisconsin Elections Commission staff developed an electronic poll book application for use in Wisconsin elections. The Badger Book is the only electronic poll book authorized for use in Wisconsin and is the only e-poll book application with direct WisVote integration. Badger Books do not use an internet connection.
The Badger Book is used to check in voters, process Election Day Registrations (EDRs), and record absentee participation. In short, Badger Books perform the functions currently processed on a paper poll book. After Election Day, a data file generated from the Badger Book is used to upload election participation and Election Day Registration information into WisVote.
You must be registered to vote in the Village of Combined Locks prior to casting a ballot. If you have previously registered in the Village, you do not need to register again unless you have moved or changed your name. You may contact the Village Clerk (920-788-7740) to verify your registration status or visit the Voter Public Access Web Site at: http://myvote.wi.gov You can also use this website to register and request an absentee ballot.
In order to qualify to register to vote in the Village:
- You must be a U.S. citizen
- You must be 18 years old on or before Election Day
- You must have resided in the Village of Combined Locks for at least 28 days immediately preceding the Election
- You must not currently be serving a sentence including probation or parole for a felony conviction and not otherwise disqualified from voting
- If you have a current and valid Wisconsin Driver’s License or Wisconsin State ID number, you must provide it on the Voter Registration Application
- You can use the last four digits of your social security number ONLY if you do not have a current Wisconsin Driver’s License or Wisconsin State ID

You may register to vote in one of the following ways:
- In Person: Register in the Village Clerk’s office, 405 Wallace Street, Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. All electors are required to present acceptable proof of residence as outlined below.
- By Mail: Download the Application for Voter Registration (EB131), complete the form and mail it to the Village Clerk’s office, 405 Wallace Street. All voters must provide a copy of an acceptable identifying document that provides proof of residence. Acceptable forms of proof of residence are outlined below.
- At the Polling Place on Election Day: If you wish to register to vote at the polling place, 405 Wallace Street, on Election Day, you must provide your Wisconsin Driver’s License or Wisconsin State ID number, and you must bring proof that you have lived at your present location for at least 28 days preceding the election. Lines can be long, and registering on Election Day makes your time in line longer. Please consider registering before Election Day.
Proof of Residence: The following constitute acceptable proof of residence if the document contains a current and complete name and a current and complete residential address.
- A current and valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- A current and valid Wisconsin State ID
- Any other official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit
- Any identification card issued by an employer in the normal course of business and bearing a photo of the card holder, but not including a business card
- A real estate tax bill or receipt for the current year or the year preceding the date of the election
- A residential lease which is effective for a period that includes election day (NOT for first time voters registering by mail)
- A university, college, or technical institute fee card (must include photo)
- A university, college, or technical institute identification card (must include photo)
- A gas, electric, or telephone service statement (utility bill) for the period commencing not earlier than 90 days before election day
- Bank statement
- A check or other document issued by a unit of government
Proof of residency does NOT include a piece of mail addressed to the voter.
If you are not already registered, you will need to register to vote before an absentee ballot can be issued.
You may request an absentee ballot in the following ways:
- In-Person at the Village Clerk’s Office: This can be done up until 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before the election. If you apply for an absentee ballot in the Village Clerk’s office, you must vote immediately, seal your ballot in the proper envelope, and return it to a member of the clerk’s staff. No ballots may be taken from the clerk’s office.
- Request by Mail: Download the Application for Absentee Ballot (EB121). Complete the form and mail it to the Village Clerk’s office. The application must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the election in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you. Please request an absentee ballot as soon as possible to ensure that the ballot is received and returned by Election Day.
- If you reside in a nursing home or are hospitalized, please contact the Village Clerk (920-788-7740) for information on the procedures for receiving an absentee ballot on Election Day.
